The network and who runs it
The Alumni Network is an official platform of Aqaba University of Technology, run by the Alumni Office. By using it you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.
Who can join
- Membership is for graduates of Aqaba University of Technology only.
- The Alumni Office reviews every request against university records and may approve or decline it, giving a reason.
- Any visitor may read public content and register for events open to everyone without being a member.
Your account
- Give accurate details, and update them when they change.
- Your account is yours alone. Do not share your password, and you are responsible for what happens through your account.
- If you think someone has got into your account, change your password straight away and tell the Alumni Office.
The directory and other graduates' details
The directory exists so graduates can reach each other. So you may not:
- Copy, collect or export other graduates' details, by hand or with automated tools.
- Use them for advertising or marketing, sell them, or give them to anyone.
- Send other graduates bulk, unwanted or abusive messages.
What is published on the network
- The Alumni Office publishes news, events, and job and internship openings.
- Openings reach the office from employers and are posted as received. The university is not a party to any hiring and does not vouch for the openings or the organisations posting them. Check any organisation before you send it your details, and never pay to be hired.
- What you write in your profile must be accurate and appropriate, and must not infringe anyone else's rights.
- Success stories are published only with the consent of the person they are about.
Acceptable use
You may not use the platform for anything unlawful, to try to get into other people's accounts or parts of the site you are not allowed into, to disrupt or overload the site, or to impersonate anyone.
Suspending and deleting accounts
- The Alumni Office may suspend any account that breaks these terms or turns out to have inaccurate details.
- You may ask for your account to be deleted at any time, as described in the privacy policy.
Liability
We work to keep the platform running and its content accurate, but provide it as it is. The university is not responsible for what results from your dealings with employers or other members outside the platform.
Ownership
The platform's design and the content the office publishes belong to Aqaba University of Technology. What you write in your profile stays yours, and you allow the university to show it on the platform according to your choices about who sees it.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we publish the new version here with its date, and email members if the change is significant. Continuing to use the platform afterwards means you accept the changed terms.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. For any question about them, contact the alumni office at Aqaba University of Technology.
